Leicester City is poised to bring
in Genk’s Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi.
Leicester City will sign Nigeria
international Wilfred Ndidi from Belgian club Racing Genk in a £15 million
deal, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.
The midfielder will sign a
five-year contract and is expected to complete the move — subject to a successful
medical and work permit application — in January.
Ndidi, who joined Genk from Lagos
club Nath Boys FC in 2015, has scored two goals in 30 appearances for them.
A versatile player who can also
play in defence, the 19-year-old made his full international debut in 2015.
He has now made four full
international appearances for Nigeria, the last two coming in World Cup
qualifying wins against Zambia and Algeria.
