It’s a moment of joy for Nigerian
boxer, Oluwafemi Oyeleye, who recently signed a contract with Floyd Mayweather
promotional company, after coming out victorious on his professional debut. The
2015 All Africa Games gold medalist, OLUWAFEMI won his debut fight against Brian True at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall,
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on Friday.
Oyeleye, who won gold in the 69kg
welterweight category in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, recently signed a
promotional contract with Mayweather Promotions, a boxing promotional firm
founded by five-division world and eleven-time world champion Floyd Mayweather
Jr. in 2007.
The 21 year old boxer who won 166
fights as an amateur moved to the United States last March in controversial
circumstances after failing to secure a spot on the boxing team to the Rio
Olympics Boxing Trials held in Cameroun.
